QUALITY MANAGER HOD

Event project managers are expected to help plan and oversee all aspects of an event from the conception of the initial idea to the last detail of the event. Event project managers meet with relevant organizational staff and discuss the organization´s desires. Event managers often suggest ideas, themes or other creative possibilities to help the event. Event project managers manage all staff related to the event including caterers, entertainment, parking and guest registration. Project managers must present a budget for the event and stick to it. Adhering to a time line is important and frequent communication with organization members as to the progress of the event is a must. Event project managers should expect frequent travel within a city or community as part of the job description.
When a group, organization or act agrees to hold an event at a facility, the event manager is then responsible to meet with the group holding the event to understand what kinds of amenities need to be in place for the event to be successful. This will likely include several meetings for the event manager, including meetings with different departments within an organization.
The Event Manager should organize those on the event staff by assigning them certain responsibilities to perform during the time leading up to the day of the event as well as during the event. Gathers, uses and analyzes defect metrics data. Presents analysis findings to the appropriate levels of management verbally and through the preparation of periodic written reports.
Participates in special projects, external audits and process improvements in support of quality assurance initiatives. Leads various initiatives.
Coordinates the definition and maintenance of an effective and efficient quality programs, including the development and presentation of associated training and familiarization to affected staff. Revises standard practices and procedures as appropriate

FOOD SAFETY AUDITOR
Use chemistry, microbiology, engineering and other sciences to study the principles underlying the processing and deterioration of foods processing.  Inform  company’s top management about new discovery research projects and new US laws associated with food industry. Collect, use and analyze quality and food safety  defect metrics data. Present food analysis findings and key performance indicators through preparation of trend analysis reports to management.


Research ways to make food and beverage processing safe, palatable, and healthful. Prepare quality and food safety manuals to comply with effective quality and food safety management  system in food and packaging industry, including retail, storage and distribution of food. Inspect food processing areas for quality and food safety  by interviewing company’s personnel to obtain processing, storage, distribution and packaging information from company’s top management and food handlers.  Conduct food safety training and development programs to improve knowledge about food safety.   Conduct food safety hazard analysis  for detection of vulnerability and threat assessment in food.


Apply food science knowledge to determine that food and beverage, packaging, storage, handling and distribution process safe and complying to applicable regulations and requirements.  Work as Subject Matter Experts (SME) with client representatives to consult on development of quality and food safety management system. Provide quality and  food safety training to clients, including Brand Reputation Compliance (BRC) global standard training for product safety management, food safety, storage,  distribution, packaging, ethical trade and government regulation food standards. Conduct internal, second-party, third-party audits in compliance of  ISO 22000 food safety management system standard and FSSC (Food Safety System Certification), and Safe Quality Food Institute (SQF) audits for quality and  food safety management systems. Detect nonconformities in deviations from food standards in compliance with government and non-government private regulations.  Prepare recommendations for any detected food nonconformities and take appropriate preventive measures based on root cause analysis study. Prepare and  document food evaluation reports of internal, second party and SQF audits.  Evaluate audit findings and provide recommendation for clients’ approvals. Overview food manufacturing process to ensure compliance with hygiene, safety,  quality and waste management requirements set by US government regulations. Oversee level of Brand Reputation Compliance (BRC) and SQF qualifications of  management and food safety system maintained by clients, and keep up with up-to-date quality and food safety US laws and food regulation standards. 


TRAINER
To plan, deliver, and review training and assessment to meet the identified competency requirements of the target group, to the standard required by the Client and external accreditation authorities.
Plan, prepare and deliver courses /training according to the training package or accredited course.
Plan, conduct and review assessment of student competence.
Distribute and explain assessment plans and processes
The trainer must: Be sure that the Trainer/Instructor day is free of time-consuming appointments; Take a copy of the reservation list or Training Attendance Sheet; Take a copy of the Checklist; Put and/or check signs in front of the event location; Arrive, every day, 30 minutes before the event starts and relax (Formal appearance is a must); Greet the participants as they arrive; ask them to sign the Training Attendance Sheet; Keep an eye on the clock; Trainer/Instructor may need to be aware when time is running out; Make sure attendees know how to contact PDCA, include business card in their file; Conduct the training and distribute: folder/material, attendance sheet, make the test

SHOPPERS

Sometimes a mystery shopper will be asked to take photographs, measurements, inventory count or a consumer count.  The mystery shopper may also be asked to use a timer and record the time it takes to complete a specific task
There are a lot of scams claiming to hire people to become mystery shoppers.  One should be aware of these scams so that you do not get caught up in one
Take notes discreetly and never in visible places.  Notice employee interaction, name tags and physical descriptions.  Shopper will need to provide credible information in the report to support these findings. The more descriptive shoppers are the better the overall report rating will be

Provide clear pictures on mystery shops that require them.  Refrain from taking pictures with a camera phone.  Use a digital camera that takes precise pictures and has a flash so that receipt information can be accurately read
 
INVESTIGATORS
